Abstract:: This data set contains boundaries for USGS 1:250,000 quadrangle maps in
a vector digital format.

Purpose:: The intended use of these data is as a grid for locating features with
respect to other data organized along grid boundaries.

Procedures_Used:

This data set was created by extracting the 1:250,000 quad boundary lines

from the RGIS cover of the 7.5 minute quad grid. Then the quad names

were added from the USGS Map Index for New Mexico.

The 7.5 minute quad grid was mathematically generated inside selected

coordinates by USGS personnel in 1988.
