When you connect to the NBII Metadata Clearinghouse you will be able to search through metadata-based descriptions of biological data sets and information products from many different sources to identify those that meet your particular search criteria.

part of the school bus funding formula.
1) TIGER/Line 92 data for New Mexico processed using TIGERARC.AML.
2) Changes/corrections to linework, as supplied by the New Mexico
Department of Education/Transportation Division, were processed using
ARCEDIT. As most districts are described by PLSS section number, PLSS was
used as primary reference to resolve changes to linework. Whenever
possible, lines from PLSS were copied into coverage to replace or augment
data originally received from TIGER/Line. Approximately 5% Of the original
TIGER linework was replaced by lines from PLSS coverage.
Note that the PLSS is only single precision. In fact, the digitizing
accuracy of the original TIGER data is questionable, such that this coverage
could probalby safely be converted to single precision without losing much
accuracy.
3) Coverage resulting from above processing is stored under name SDUNI.
SDUNI coverage has two regions: 1) UNI, which are school districts, and 2)
TRANS, which are areas that are part of one school district but serviced by
busses from another school district. This latter region is of very limited
use - probably, only to school transportion planners for funding purposes.
Therefore, a REGIONPOLY was done on UNI region to create the final
coverage, with each school district as a polygon rather than a region.
4) The coverage was projected into geographic decimal degrees from UTM
using PROJECT command.
5) BUILD was run to reestablish topography.
